How can I get device id from LPT1(Parallel) in Windows 2k?

Hi.
I have a problem that I cannot read Device ID on LPT1: in Windows 2K.
Please tell me the way of reading device id in Windows 2k.

I don't want to stop spooler service for reading device id.

Please help me... My application must read device id on LPT1:...
