Yes I was wondering if there was a way to get more colors
or graphics on my computer. We installed windows 2000 pro
and we only get 16 colors and it looks awful. Is there a
way I can check to see what video card I have without
taking the computer a part.

Thanks
any other replys please contact me at

Since Windows 2000 did not recognize it you may need to open the case
and look at it, or maybe you have some documentation for the computer
that might say. Either way you need to get the proper driver before it
will start working past 16 colors

Without the docs for the card, the only way is to open the
case and eyeball the card for identifying marks! usually
the fcc number will give lots of info, when doing a search
on the net.

You can try running "msinfo32" (with "start, run") and looking under
"components, display", but that only tells you what Windows **thinks**
you have, which we know is wrong.

If you don't want to open the pc, check the pc manuals or call the
manufacturer.
