Instead of postulating over something that can hardly be deemed 'life
threatening', i.e popup ads, please refrain from suggesting that Microsoft
and Dell are idiots because at this point in time you have elevated yourself
to Idiot #1 by your actions.. call Dell and be nice to them.. explain that
you have a problem.. they will help you.. when your pc is back up and
running, subscribe to something like WINXPNEWS (they do a weekly newsletter
and it is FREE), read it, learn from it, ask them questions.. always before
carrying out a procedure, if you are not sure about what to do, ask first..
you will have a much calmer time with your pc that way..
