How can I export addresses to Excel?

Hi -- I'm trying to export some of my contacts. I want their addresses for
mailing, and I need them in a simple <Name> <Address 1,2> <City State Zip>
format, in Excel (CSV is fine). I only want addresses from a certain
category, and I don't care whether the address is "Business" or "Home" --
some are one and some another -- I want whatever has the "This is the mailing
address" box checked.

I can't use the "Mailmerge" tools since I'm having postcards printed out,
and they also print the addresses and barcodes and do the mailing, and they
want the addresses in CSV or Excel. (I also need to merge my list with my
wife's, which comes from an ancient version of ACT!, and it's easy to do it
from there -- by comparison.)

I think I did this once before in Outlook XP (2002?), but I sure can't make
it fly in 2007!

Am I overlooking something real simple here?

In the main toolbar go to File, import\export and follow the prompts

Hi Neil:

Thanks, but I tried that. I get ALL my contacts, and business and home
address fields are separate -- unless I messed something obvious (it's
happened before). I selected the contacts I wanted, but it still exported ALL
of them. Oh well. I'll try again...

I believe you can only export the entire folder of contacts. Therefore, the
easiest way around that is to create a new temp folder and copy those
contacts to it. I don't know what you are saying about the business and home
address fields are separate but when you go thru the export you can customize
the fields that you want to export.

Create a new folder holding contacts items and copy the contacts you want to
that folder. Then export that folder. When done, delete the folder if you
wish.
