How can I eliminate the "Log Onto Windows" window at startup?

He there. Can you tell me how to eliminate the "Log Onto Windows" startup
window that appears when XP is started up so the computer will just start by
itself?

Start/Run
Type "control userpasswords2" ENTER
Uncheck "Users must enter..."
Click OK and follow the prompts and select the user you want to log in
automatically.

Hello David,

Click on Start | Run and type "control userpasswords2" without the quotation
marks in the command line window.

Clear the checkmark in the line that reads: Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer.

Click Apply and then OK. Now reboot. You no longer should be prompted for a
user name and password.
