Can I download mail to Outlook from Outlook Web Access?

I use Outlook on a laptop on the LAN at work and use Outlook Web Access to
check my mail from home as I don't have VPN.

I would like to use the Outlook Web Access to download to my Outlook on my
PC. I tried setting up an account but failed miserably and it won't connect.

Is this possible?

OWA has nothing to do with the ability if you can access it via Outlook.
You'll have to ask your mail admin which other methods have been made
available to you for remote access besides OWA.
VPN, RPC over HTTP, IMAP and POP3 are other possibilities. Your mail admin
can tell you the configuration settings for your organization.

The only way its possible is if the OWA URL begins with HTTP:// - if its
HTTPS:// and you use Exchange 2003 or 2007, you'll need to ask the admin if
Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) is configured.
