Can "Download Accelarator" be configured to be used with the "Xnews"
Newsreader or vice versa?

Is Download Accelerator free now? Last time I looked it was adware unless
you paid to remove the ads.

Your second option would be to use Xnews with Newsplex to get multiple
connections: <http://home.pacbell.net/robbie22/NewsPlex/>

Finally, you could install a "binary newsreader" like the freeware
BNR2 for your heavier downloading: <www.bnr2.org>
(since you've cross-posted to a freeware group I assume that's what
you're looking for).
