I would like to set up an automated process from Crystal to email a report
to a list of email addresses. I currently have a distribution list set up in
my contacts folder, but the automated process needs an SMTP address. Is
there a way to automatically associate an SMTP address to a distribution
group within a contacts folder?

No, that's a feature of an Exchange GAL DL, not an Outlook personal DL.
