Can I delete system32\dllcache folder content ?

As I found out the directory

D:\ Windows\system32\dllcache

contains meanwhile approx 500 MB.

Can I simply (analog to "prefetch" directory) delete the content and let WinXP refill this
cache on next reboot (with only the necessary DLLs)?
