In Outlook 2003 I had an Archive Folder that pointed to an .pst file. For
whatever unknown reason that folder isn't "there" anymore (and I can't find
it). So everytime I open Outlook I get this error message "The path
specified is not valid" and than an open folder dialog box opens. I cannot
figure out how to delete it. All the obvious options don't allow for me to
change the path or just completely remove the folder. It is being quite the
annoyance to have this pop-up everytime I open outlook

Find the archive .pst file and copy it somewhere (just in case it gets
accidentally deleted in the following remove procedure).

Under the Control Panel, open the Mail applet. Use the Data Files
option and remove the archive message store.

Using the same Data Files option, create a new message store and point
at the original or copy of the archive .pst file. Then open Outlook
where it should show up as a separate tree for that message store.

Or, instead of adding the archive .pst file using the Data Files option
in the Mail applet, open Outlook and use the Files -> Open menu to open
that archive .pst file.

Note: The above is how I do it for Outlook 2002. Outlook 2003 may have
different menu navigation.
