your question is not specific enough ... so the answer is "probably" ... but
it also sounds a bit like, "Would I be able to pilot a 747 from Los Angeles
to Singapore ?" ..... well, yes, if you learned a lot of things between now
and takeoff ... your database is not going to "update from information on a
website" all by itself .... but there are many ways to make this happen
ranging from the awkward and kludgy to the very elegant ....

Spell out the problem you need to solve; maybe someone can offer some
help/advice ....

My exact problem . . . . let me think. It is hard to explain. There is a
military website that Marines can go to and get their information on
everything. Training (dates it was completed), Scores on test, blood type .
.. . you name it and its there. Now my training section keeps track of all
this information. They have a database that is pretty much identical to the
website and continually update this databse by finding the Marines
information on the internet site nad the Marines information on the database
they have. Is there a way for the database to automatically pull updated
information into it from this website. Hopefully I explained it a little
better.

Chris,

that's a bizarre way for two entitites to share data; your training section
obviously needs to get a data feed or access from the administrator of the
source data ... if you can't get it, I guess someone doesn't want you to
have it ... but good luck
