How can I create a button, that is linked to a macro (start)?

1) create your macro (probably using the macro recorder). Run it a few times
though Tools > Macro so that you are sure it does what you want.

2) Edit > Toolbars > Forms

3) On the forms toolbar, select the command button. Drag and drop it into
your sheet. Excel will ask you if you want to link it to a macro, so choose
the one you created above.

Create your macro, drag a button off of the forms toolbar, and assign the
button to the macro when prompted.
