The only sure way is to put the same amount of pictures into your page.. as
the text you put in the body of your post! :-)

#1 Anything published to the web is automatically
copyrighted
#2 All you can do is make it difficult or undesirable to
copy your information:
- No right click scripts are easily defeated and make you
look like an amateur
- Best thing to do is to optically degrade the image, making
it undesirable

Yes have thought about that, but then it also makes the website look cheap,
webcam quality is ideal to deter but then perhaps if I was to setup a members
area that is password protected then it would at least reduce the
undesirables. Or is there ways round this as well?

Use a graphics progra to add a watermark to your images.

...or use a watermark generator that does it on the fly

I've seen where the image is sliced into many pieces. The image is still
there, but makes saving it more of a chore.

But it is a real pain in the neck to watch! Don't do that either.
Carefully resize and optimize your images in you image editing program and
then don't worry about it. If they are less then 100 kb each they aren't
worth much to copy unless into another site ... and you can't control that.
Watermark them in your image editing program also.
