Can I convert a PDF file to rich text in Word 2007

I have a document that I converted to PDF and now want to convert it back.
Any suggestions?

If you converted it to a .pdf, you already have the original file.

Not necessarily, if Bob unwisely deleted the original and didn't keep a backup
copy.

There are many programs that claim to convert PDF to Word, although some are
obviously better than others. I haven't tried any myself. Start here:

I just got PDFZilla from giveawayoftheday.com. It's not bad but it puts
everything inside text boxes.
(And if the OP did delete the original file, let's hope it is a lesson
learned and remembered.)

I have tried several of these applications and as you say, some are better
than others. Some format with text boxes or frames, others are just useless.
One of the better ones is PDF2TXT, which has the advantage of converting to
plain text thus avoiding useless attempts to format (but it does add a lot
of work later). Best of all those I have tried is ABBYY Finereader 9, which
makes a pretty fair stab at reproducing the original document, but in the
final analysis PDF files are not intended for reversion to document.
