Hi ya'll doing? listen here. Is there a way to convert flash videos from
websites to mpeg video? Like the ones on youtube. So I can watch them offline.

I found a program some years ago that would do this but it only worked when
I was connected to internet.

Alienware mobile desktop, win xp home sp2. I have AVS video tools, TPMGEnc,
video redo, and DVD lab studio.

Thanks in advance
Greg

There are quite a few...

Xilisoft (www.xilisoft.com)

Aone
http://www.aone-soft.com/flv_to_avi_..._converter.htm

Xilisoft is very comprehensive in that it will batch convert almost anything
to almost anything else, although it will tell you it doesn't support FLV
files, use the drop down menu to All Files (instead of Supported Files) and
it will let you add them no problem.

Aone will only convert FLVs, but it does what it says it will.

Ah you need to grab them first.... easiest way, use Firefox and the Sothink
Web Video Downloader. www.firefox.com and www.sothink.com. Once you've
grabbed them, you don't have to convert them, but you may wish to since not
everyone has the ability to play Flash files. I don't have a flash player
installed on any PC, I have enough players on my notebook and the thought of
one more isn't exciting me!

Free software available at this site can also do the job. Which one is
better, I don't know.
