In my intranet there are bizarre issues since a couple of months.
It happen that sometimes, an user cannot access anymore one of our web
sites.
example,
http://sm.onsemi.com/
The user gets prompted to enter a password and cannot make it.
What is interesting is that If I tell the user to use the IP address
rather than the dns name, then it works.
Also, I remote in the user's machine and start an internet explorer
session with my userid, then it works.
Lastly, in another instance, the user was unable to access the web site
through one address but it did work from another, i.e.
http://smreports.onsemi.com/Reports/ did not work anymore for a guy
in Europe

Our IT tells me they did not change anything to our network and dns
servers.
Any idea?
