I just got an HP m7760n PC, and it can record TV programs. However,
the clock manage to be slower about 2 minutes every day, and therefore
I will miss the beginning of the show on the second or third day (when
the clock is 4 minutes late, and 6 minutes late on the third day).

There is a "sync" to the internet clock in the clock setting, but
looks like the setting only allows sync'ing every 7 days. Is there a
way to sync every day or every 12 hours?

right now, i need to sync it every day by hand.

Open regedit.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient

Select SpecialPollInterval /right click/ modify / decimal

Change the number of seconds between syncs.

Al's suggestion is right on. I setup my PC some time back to check every
day (24 hours) by changing that entry. If you are not comfortable
editing your registry, copy and paste the following into notepad, save
it to your desktop as "timeck24.reg", then double click. Click YES.
Click OK. Done. (your PC will ck. time every 24 hours)

----- copy and paste from next line down

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient]
"SpecialPollInterval"=dword:00015180

----- do not copy this line
