I open Wordpad, under File, select Open. Find the folder. But Wordpad only
shows one file type. I have changed it from .rtf to .txt, but I really want
it to show all file types, by default. I don't want to have to select "All
Documents (*.*)" each time I go to a different folder. Or if I really only
can have one file type, I'd like .html.

I don't think that what you ask is possible, however Wordpad has nothing to
do with Word, but is part of the operating system. You may be able to get
some further information in a forum dedicated to your operating system.
