Hi all -

On a win2K sp4 server, the winnt\installer directory has only one security
entry:

everyone - R&E, List Folders, & Read

How this was set, I'm clueless - but as local administrator, I cannot
install software as installshield needs to write to this directory. When I
try to take control off directory I receive the access denied message.

Any ideas how I can modify this directory?

first take ownership and than change the perms as you need
