I'd like to do some special effects as past of a tape and insert the music
later, but 16 bit audio doesn't allow audio dubbing. Is there a way to
produce 12 bit audio clips?
Thanks,
IKE

Hi Ike,

There is a program called Audacity available for free from
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ that should meet all your needs. It is
highly praised by those who have used it.

One method of operation would be to drag your finished movie down to the
lowest audio track and Save to file, this will create just the audio track
in a file with a WMA extension. You can then import this into Audacity and
whilst making sure that the length in time of the file does not change you
can edit away and then import the file back into Movie Maker and use your
newly edited audio track to replace the one in your project.

Best Wishes.....John Kelly
