How can I block pop-up follow-up notices from others?

Sometimes I receive an email from someone else that has a follow-up
flag attached with a reminder that pops up as soon as the message
arrives in my inbox. Is there any way to disable reminders sent from
others? It's obnoxious behavior.

Version of Outlook? Look in Rules - create a rule to remove flags from
incoming messages.
