how can I assign "backspace" to a key on left of keypad?

Hi How can I assign the backspace (ie backwards delete) to a key on the
left of the keyboard as I am disabled and have trouble reaching the key at
the top right corner.

You can re-map the keys in Windows. The exact method depends on the
operating system, but see http://www.usnetizen.com/fix_capslock.php for a
starting point.
