I work for the Department of Transportation, we are moving in a month and I
have been told that I need to save my old email messages to a CD. Only thing
is I'm not exactly sure how to do this can someone help me with my question.

Semi-unhelpful answer: Why don't you ask the IT department that asked you
to do something how to do what they asked you to do? I know when I've
worked in an IT capacity, I'd never ask my users to do something that they
didn't know how to do without a) Including in-depth instructions and/or b)
expecting requests for help. It is what they are paid to do.

Marginally more helpful answer: There's a lot of information needed in
order to give you help. First and foremost, do you know how to burn
information to a CD? Also: What kind of mail server are you using,
Exchange or POP/IMAP? What version of Outlook?

Personally, I'd ask my IT department.

File/import-export/export to a file/personal folder file(pst)
pick the whole mailbox, check include subfolders, might as well get everything
Next / this is important, use browse and give the file a name, and put it
where you can find it.
Then it will put everything in that file, and you can burn it to a CD like
any other file.
