A contact on this board (Chet, who I've lost touch with), did a version of a
text logo for me which is now in use, and I'd like to find out what the font
is, and if it's available in FP2003 or Photoshop; I want to create a
different text logo, for another sister site, but use the same font. The
text logo is located at www.preferredcountry.com - it's the "Preferred
Country Realty" transparent gif just to the right of the company logo and at
the bottom left of the background banner. Any help gratefully received.

TIA

Dan

It's definitely *not* part of FrontPage 2003.
I fired up FontViewer and checked the 173 fonts in my machine and it's not there.

Thanks for trying Steve - I have a feeling it might be from Paint Shop Pro -
I just now went back through some old emails and found Chet used that for
his graphics needs.

Hi Dan:

It will take a bit of detective work on your part, but you should be
able to track it down. If you'll conduct a Google/Yahoo search on
"Font ID" you'll see a number of websites dealing in font
identification.

I also recommend that you checkout "comp.fonts" on the News Groups.

There's an entire universe out there dedicated to all things FONT...

PS; Don’t use the prentices in any of the examples.

Good Luck

I looked through the 700 fonts I have, I found only one that was even close, but not close enough. Perhaps you should look for a standard font that works for you. Problem is that fonts can be altered in some programs stretched/slanted/condensed etc...so you may never find it if that was the case.

Dan,

I believe the font is "Tabitha", just like my niece. Now if you ask me where
I got it I'd have to admit to being clueless. I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too
many fonts on my system to be able to keep track.

I think I've found a free download for it. Check out
http://www.webpagepublicity.com/free-fonts-t.html. Please notice that there
is a Tabatha as well as a Tabitha. You want the one with the *i*, like my
niece. There seem to be about 4 different fonts spelled that way and this
one seems to be the one like yours. If not, let me know.

Only 700? Tsk, tsk. 953 in my system. I found a cool macro that created a
file that has the font name and a character set of each font. It takes a
while for it to load a document that size but it helps me to identify fonts
a bit easier than not having it.

Those are just the ones that are "installed"...Xara X1 will install even more if I let it.

What macro do you have?
