I am reposting this question since I have not been able to get help anywhere
- can someone help, please?
I have set up a database connection successfully many times in Frontpage,
however these were not with protected Access databases. What I can’t figure
out is how to properly set up a database connection when database permissions
have been set for a database. Can you tell me how to set up a database
connection in Frontpage when the Access database has permissions (e.g. uses
the .mdw file)?

Thank you so much for the response. I think I have that down, but I still get
the error. In case it helps, I will put configuration information and error
information below. Thanks again.

Database Connection Properties

Type of Connection: File or folder in current Web
C:\tempfolder\testdb.mdb [value in field to left of "Browse" button]

Advanced Connection Properties
User Name: testuser
User Password: test

Timeouts
Connection: 15
Command: 30

Other parameters
Name: SystemDB
Value: C:\tempfolder\Secured.mdw

ERROR MESSAGE...

Database Connection Error (From Step 2 of Database Results Wizard)

The server encountered an error while processing a database request, click
Details.

(Details...)
Server error: Unable to retrieve the list of record sources from a database
using the connection string.

DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver
(*.mdb)};DBQ=C:\tempfolder\testdb.mdb;SystemDB=C:\tempfolder\Secured.mdw;UID=testuser;PWD=test.

The following error message comes from the database driver software; it may
appear in a different language depending on how the driver is configured.

Source: ADO
Number: -2146824584 (0x800a0e78)

Also, when the above is resolved and the web is eventually published to a
server, will the connection string require any modification?
