I installed Yahoo Messenger, which installed a bunch of
it's own crap without asking, so I deleted it. All of a
sudden I started to get "Page not found" errors in IE.
Sites that I could access at work, I couldn't get to from
home.
I deleted cookies and history, and ran SpyBot and such,
even deleted my index.dat file. Still nothing. Then my
browser started to give me a default Yahoo search when it
couldn't find the page instead of the Page Not Found
error.
I reset my brower settings to default and then ping-ed
the website. When I put the DNS number into the browser,
I could get to the site. And now if I type the page into
the browser, it works! Any idea what happened?
