How can I add spell check to a protected form (the fill in areas)

I am creating a fill-in form in Word 2003 (PC). How can I allow the users to
spell check their work without unprotecting the form?

The only way is explained at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/...ProtectDoc.htm (requires a
macro, which may or may not be acceptable in your situation).
