I'd like to have shortcut to starting new email on the quick launch bar.
Right now I have outlook running lall the time. To write email I have to
open outlook then click on "NEW". I'd like to simply go right to email form
from the desktop w/out having to maximize outlook to see the NEW button.

Thanks

You can;
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note

For more command line switches see;

You might be interested in http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout -
it adds shortcuts to the tray area. There is also an installer at
sunflowerhead that adds QL icons for all outlook item types so you don't
have to create them yourself.

quick launch

I think I have a related problem. I'm using Outlook2002.
When I did like you said the error message came back
saying :

Objet could not be found.

This also happens when I click the new message icon from
MSOffice.

Can you help?

thanks!
Edwin

Did you adjust you're path to outlook.exe? Mine example was for the default
location for Outlook.exe for Outlook 2003
