I currently have outlook express set up to recieve and send emails via my
comcast email account. I would also like to use outlook express for my aol
emails as well.

How can I set up a seperate outlook express account to do this. I do not
want to combine the emails. XP, outlook express 6.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup or visit the AOL help pages.

Thanks for your help. I did this but now how do I find the outlook express
that is set up to receive my aol emails? Comcast works, but I have no idea
where the aol emails go to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Follow-up set to microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general]

I guess I don't understand your question about "how do I find the outlook express..."
There is only one Outlook Express per computer, the same one where you just
set up the AOL account.

my confusion, I was not looking all the way down on the folder section.

Now that I have emails going to outlook express it is really not that great.

I cannot save emails on the server (AOL)
I cannot save deleted files in outlook express folder
I cannot create folders to save emails.
I found that this is becasue of Imap.

, really does not work as well as I thought it would

If you know anyway around this let me know.

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks again.

Why not? The AOL servers are IMAP, which is designed to store messages on
the server.

With IMAP folders, what is deleted in the client is also deleted from the
server.

If this is an AOL account, user created folder have to be created as sub
folders under the "Saved Mail" folder.

There is no way around the way that IMAP works; it works exactly as it was
designed to work.

With IMAP, email remains on the server until you explicitly delete it from
the server. The account folder tree in MSOE is just a mirror of what is
available on the server. Any email that you want to remove from an IMAP
server, but store locally, has to be moved to a folder under the "Local
Folders" tree in MSOE.

AFAIK, AOL Mail does not offer POP3 service.
