I am using Microsoft Publisher 2000 and want to add my file into Front Page
2002. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

You would need different browsers installed on your computer.

Use FrontPage to "Import" the files.

However you're much better of using FrontPage to create the files instead of Publisher.

Yes, just save the files from Publisher as HTML / Web etc., then import everything that is created
in to your current open FP web. However you would fine that it is better to jest create the content
directly in FP instead.

Use File | Import in FP. Select your file.

Don't.
Publisher is the worst ever HTML editor.

If you really insist - and you will lose your sanity if you attempt to edit
the result - then open the document in Publisher, then save as HTML.
With a web open in FrontPage, File->Import the resulting mess.

You will get much better results if you rebuild the document in FrontPage,
starting from scratch, or convert the Publisher document into a PDF (search
for pdfFactory or cutePDF as a means of conversion) and import the PDF file
into FrontPage, then link to the .pdf file.

Good Luck! The two don't seem to mesh well. I tried to put newsletter from
Publisher on site but trying to link Publisher pages together within FP was
a terror!

Why don't you convert your publisher files to PDF files? There are free
conversion programs that you can download to do this. Then people with Adobe
Acrobat Reader could access your files with your FP site and read them.
Hopefully you don't have too large of files with many pictures.

No, and not a good idea.

If you want a web site, develop it in Frontpage - from scratch.

Publisher does however generate crude html code (badly), and you can import those
html files into Frontpage, but the code is bloated with everything that Publisher
converts to VML objects (i.e. images etc) or something like that - and VML
objects are mostly only viewable in IE browsers.

However you can't insert a raw *.pub file in frontpage, you can link to them, but
this would require the user to have the Publisher application on their system to
view them.

If you have a nice design, the I believe the more recent Publihser versions can
convert files to PDF - this would be the way to go (since it is more likely
people will have the PDF reader from Adobe). Then you can link the PDF file in
your web site in Frontpage.

I wouldn't however, use publisher to create the main content of your site, use it
only say to publish a newsletter, since MS Publisher was intended to be used for
print not online media.
