name in a certificate.
Thanks

Bree,
You will need to activate the control toolbox toolbar, View - Toolbars -
Control Toolbox - click on the combobox tool and draw one on your slide.
That is the easy part, then you need some VBA to populate the box.
Here's a link to a thread covering that subject with some sample code by

Do you need a dropdown box for this or would a plain text box control suffice?

If you put text box on the slide, anyone can type into it and it'll retain the
text that's been entered until its deleted or changed.

Much simpler to use than a dropdown.

I am confused. I teach 4th grade and have used control text boxes in my
presentations so that the kids could input text during the slideshow mode. I
have upgraded to Office 2007 but can't find a control toolbox anywhere in the
program- when I saw this post I thougt my problems were solved- I just don't
see where I can get that control toolbox toolbar to come up-
HELP!

It's still there, have no fear. It's on the Developer tab, which isn't shown by
default.

Click the Office button (that big shiny looking thing in the upper left hand
corner).

Click PowerPoint Options

Click Popular in the list on the left

Put a check next to "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon"

Click OK

Now go to the developer tab and

DROP EVERYTHING AND RUN ... Johnny's trying to put Kim's finger into the pencil
sharpener!!!!
