Can I add blinking or flashing text to my web pages using
Front Page 2003?? I have figured out how to add a marquee,
but rather have blinking text too.

TIA!

Used to be <blink> word </blink>
Don't know if that's recognized any more.
IMHO...Don't use, very annoying.

Yes, it can, with a javascript,
but a lot of web design folks will advise against it
as they feel it's "tacky."
Also, you need to make sure the "blink rate"
is set no faster than one second intervals, as faster
blink rates can induce "Light Flicker Syndrome"
epileptic seizures in folks prone to epilepsy.

If you really want to play with it, post back
and I'll post a script.

oooohhhhh, blinking and scrolling text. could you add a mouse trail and
pop-up windows too, to make it extra annoying?

you forgot to tell her to lay in a huge .wav file for page "background
sound". full blast with no off button, just the way I like it. ;-)

oh, and throw a pop-up when you exit the page. you know the kind with no
frame or visible means of closure and re-spawn on unload. I love them.

Jeez, guys....could you all calm down a bit??? lol!
The reason I need the scrolling or flashing text is
because I have a retail site, and my customers are not
realizing that I offer free shipping and local
delivery...they still ask...How much is shipping! So I
figured I wuold make it so that they would see it
better...I am guessing that is a bad idea???lol!

if you must do this, it's easy enough to make a .gif image that appears to
flash.
contact me through http://nedp.net/support and I'll help you. I don't do
anything with the email replies to the account I'm posting with but delete
it. (full of viru-spam, ya know)

Consider using a Animated GIF Image with the words "Free Shipping" etc.
