I'm currently using xp but I have a 98 drive I'd like to use as a slave. The 98 drive has alot of data I need and once I transfer this data to the xp drive (drag and drop, save as, etc) or burn it on disc I'll format the 98 drive for use as an xp drive. I need to know if I should expect any difficulty. If I install the 98 drive can I access it normally within xp?

It should work.
There are three exceptions:
a drive overlay was used on the drive
files where compressed on the drive
the old and new drive may not get along on the same cable

You should not expect any difficulty. Make sure the jumper settings for
both your current drive and the added 98 drive are correct from their
position as likely the drive with 98 was a master in its old computer.
