Can access website for static pages using DNS but requires IP address for dynami

This is not a pervasive problem. The client(s) in question
can access a website's static pages using DNS ..when they
try to access a dynamic web page they receive a 404
error. If they substitute the DNS name with the IP address
they have no problems accessing the dynamic web
pages..The majority of the other users who are on the same
sub-net can access the website's static and dynamic web
pages without any problems....Any clue's..Thanks
