I'm building a database for managing a service department. I'm sure Access
can look up data in Peachtree Accounting. Can anyone provide me with
references on the internet that can help me set this up?

I don't know what the data format for Peachtree is. Unless it is a
recognizable database format AND you know what tables, fields, etc there are
in Peachtree and what they mean, the answer is no.

Most accounting systems have an export capability. Chose one that Access
can read easilty, export your Peactree data and import it or link to it in
Access.

I would also contact Peachtree. Sometimes vendor will have utilites that
will provide that functionality.

You might try looking into and ODBC conneciton. I interfaced with an
accounting program years ago (can't remember which offhand) and it was a
simple ODBC connection. YOu will still need to know what tables and fields
to look for after you get the connection established. Just food for thought.

Peach Tree is Paradox data format. Access can import paradox.
