Camera Software Missing

Hi
i am having a problem with my camera ''canon powershot A460'' i plug
it in my USB and it tells me ''found new hardware''. the thing is i
do not have the installation cd for this camera. i tried looking for
the software on the web. but no luck. can any body respectfully help
me on this issue.

Perhaps you had difficulty navigating the Canon web site. Try at
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...&modelid=14825

Go through the camera's settings and see if you can set the interface to
"mass storage/USB device" (or whatever they call it).

This will ensure the data is of a format readable by most PCs without any
additional software (they will just treat the camera as if it was a USB
stick).

I have an A40 and my system sees it as another drive.
If you can see it them I'd skip the Canon software and use Google's Picasa.

i wish their was such setting. it would make my life easier.

holy **** dude! the google picaso recognizes the drive with no
problem. it's viewing the cameras pictures as we speak. thanks a lot
man!
