Hi,

I connected my Kyocerra Finecam M410R and Vista appeared to load the drivers
ok, but the camera does not appear in the Scanners and Camera's list, and
also does not appear in the my computer window. However it appears under
device manager and I can safety disconnect the device, but I cant access the
files. I have taken the card out of the camera and I am able to read it in a
card reader.

I note the website recommended changing the communication protocol to PTP,
but I dont have this option. The camera worked on XP prior to upgrade to
Vista and I have also asked Kyocerra for help.

Thanks in advance Neville

Check Kyocerra website for drivers that are Vista compatible, (you need Vista
drivers to connect camera to PC and work correctly)
If they do not have Vista drivers, reading direct from card is the only
option, which you have indicated that works OK.

Hello Neville,
You are in good company. I have a Canon 400D with the same problem. It used
to upload via the USB connection and now the p.c. will not see the camera. I
know from the web that this is a very common problem. So far I have not seen
a solution anywhere. I recenlty updated my Canon's firmware, so I still don't
know if it is a camera problem or a Window's Vista problem. Bye. David.
