i'm trying to re-install my camera software
but the computer won't read the disk.
any thoughts?

Please help us to help you. What camera? What software is it? What
does "won't read the disk" mean? What kind of disk--floppy or CD? Were
you able to read the disk before? How long ago? What have you changed
since then? What happens when you try to read it? If you get an error
message, please quote it verbatim.

Can you read other floppies or CDs?

sorry about that .
the camera is an epson photo pc650.
i put the cd in and nothing happens.
i haven't used the cd since i installed it
5 years ago.
i replaced my hard drive 2 days ago.
there is no error message.
i can read other cd's.

What happens when you try to open the cd using Windows Explorer?
What happens when you try to access any file on the cd using Windows
Exploere?
Have you turned off autorun?

Perhaps the cd has gone to cd heaven. Quite a few of mine have, but it is
unusual for a CD-ROM to die. Your report that other cds work supports this
theory.

You may be able to download the software from Epson.
