AFIK, sfc /scannow only works to restore Windows registered system
files, not just any installed driver file. Additionally, the Canon
drivers have been uncertified (I do not know about the very new cameras
and their drivers) and sfc will not in any event restore them.
Reinstalling the software for the camera is the best solution.
