I have XP home edition. And a Sony digital camcorder. The
computer has an USB port but the camcorder does not. Does
anyone know what I have to do to download from the
camcorder to the computer?
Thanks

Camcorder do not have a USB port to transfer to computer like digital
cameras do.
The transfer from camcorder to computer is via a Fire Wire (the name that
Sony uses) cable from a Fire Wire port on your camcorder to a fire wire port
on your computer. If your computer does not have this, you need to purchase
a card and install it in your computer. Then you connect from the fire wire
port of your camcorder to the fire wire port of the card to transfer the
video from your camcorder to your PC. XP comes with Movie Maker 2, this
software can be use to transfer your video to your computer and then edit
it.
