You need to have a TAPI compliant driver installed on your PC and then use
the call function in BCM. It's the link to that phone driver that makes it
work.

Hi Lon,
Thankyou. Can you make a suggestion or should I just "google".
Cheers

What brand and model of phone system (PBX or KSU -- Key System Unit) are you
using, Cathy? I would start with that vendor and see if they have drivers
for their system.

If it's just you and your PC, then plug a regular phone into your modem,
pick up the handset like you're going to dial a call, and then tell BCM to
dial the number for you.

HTH,
Lon

Do you need to use a splitter unit to get this to work with a pc and a
regular phone?

Andy:

You might have to if your modem only has one phone jack on it. The one I
have in my desktop has a plug for the line from the wall, and another for
the phone. Otherwise, a splitter should work.

Lon
