How to call exe from VBS or Add-Ins

I'd like to call exe from Event - handler (add ins)
Is it possible?
Ane can I supress the Open of the Default Open Appoinent form - form open
handler.
I'd like to open instead of Open Appoinment of Outlook - exe program
(external) to open and edit the particular appointment.
