Call of duty 4 modern warefare. alienware area 51 notebook win xp home. pent
4 3 gz 3 gigs ram direct x 9 nvidea ge force 6500. After I start the program
and select a new game or resume from a previous one Im looking at the game
screen and it appears to be working normal. then... then machine shuts down.
doesnt crash just turns off like I hit the power button. Ive never seen this
happen with any other program and it only happens with call of duty. I
thought it could be that Im pressing a key combination thats causing it but
it happens all by itself without pressing any keys.

I dont have any power profiles that goes into standby or hibernation. I
didnt find any info relating to this on the activision website. has anyone
heard of this or have any insight?

Greg

The computer may be overheating, especially a laptop with a graphic
intensive game...
