Calender and Journal Interaction

I want my appointments to automatically show up on the
jounral after they are done. I know I can open up a
jounral entry when a meeting starts but it seems that is
duplication. I make an appointment on my calender, put
the appropriate contact at the bottom, but does not go to
journal. Is there a way for those appointments to show
up? I know meeting cancellations can show up
automatically. Info is greatly appreciated.
