when I switched up to 2007 from 2003 the imported calender which is the
one I use shows up under the my calenders just as "Calender" with two more
below it "Calender in Personal Folders" and "Calender in Archive Folders"

When I do a search only archived items show up not items in my daily
calender which it appears is not being indexed.
in search options I have all three option s in the Idex messages in these
data files which are Personal Folders ,Archive folders ,and personal
folders

I have the same issues searching emails how can I get outlook to index
these files

the lack of seach ability is frustrating

This means you have three data stores in your mail profile - the default data
store holding "Calendar", a PST named "Personal Folders" holding a folder
named "Calendar" and an Archive PST, also holding a folder named "Calendar".
Importing from a PST is not the optimal way of adding data to Outlook.

Have you cleared the Instant Search index (in Control Panel) and allowed
Instant Search to rebuild it?

Have you tried Advanced Search? It can search one data store at a time.
