Calendar Printing Assistant Crashes - Cannot Uninstall

I can no longer select a template from CPA. I get an exception error. When I
try to uninstall CPA I get a message "The patch package could not be opened"
This came after my User account on XP became corrupted and I created a new
User. Cannot uninstall from either user.

I'm running XP SP2 - no viruses or spyware on my system. 2.5 Gig memory.

Please help. I miss my tri-fold view that I've come to depend on to get
through the day.

In Outlook try:

- Open the TOOLS menu
- Select the TRUST CENTER
- Select ADD-INS
- Select MANAGE
- Select COM Add-ins, Go, tic the box.

If it isn't listed you can "Add" and navigate to and select
the "cpaoaddin.dll" in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

Do you have Exchange Administrator installed on your
machine?

Thanks for your response. Diagnostics ran without any error (all 5 tests).
What can I try next without reinstalling Office (I can't find my original CD
at the moment and also that seems like a big deal. Plus the error seems to be
with CPA and not Office)?
What do you think about installing CPA again without uninstalling the
corrupt program?

Thanks for replying. I followed your suggestions and found the dll as already
present. Exchange Administrator is not installed. This is a standalone PC.

Is there a way to remove the dll? Maybe that will allow the rest of the CPA
program to be uninstalled?

There were no ticks because there were no checkboxes for the add-ins. All
that I see is the name of the add-in. At the bottom of the window there is
one checkbox with the caption "Apply macro security settings to installed
add-ins
So as far as I can tell the add-ins are on. I tried double-clicking on the
line item but nothing happens.
What should I try next?

you have to click the Com addin's Go button to see if its checked, although
it should be if its listed in the active section.

Reinstalling CPA may help. Reinstalling office probably won't - office
diagnostics is a shorter version of a reinstall and fixes almost everything.

Diane,
Thanks for your response. Clicking Go at the bottom, that wasn't too
intuitive or standard. It was clicked.

Thanks again. I'll try the CPA reinstall.
