The other panes, Tasks and Messages, display the information I have stored
there, but the Calendar pane is entirely blank. Would anyone know what the
problem might be and how to solve it? Many thanks in advance.

Hard to say without any configuration information.
Does the Folder List indicates that you actually have a Calendar folder?
If not;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resetfolders

If so;
Start->Run; outlook.exe /resetnavpane

For anything else; provide more information to work with like at least your
version of Outlook and type of mail account.

Hi, thanks very much for the reply.

I have Outlook 2003. I do have a calendar folder so I tried the second
command you have there, but I got an error message stating that this file
could not be located. Should I reinstall Outlook, and if I do, would I lose
all of the data I have there right now?

You need to run it when Outlook is closed. Also verify that the outlook.exe
process stops when closing Outlook.

Yes, the command went through this time, and it opened Outlook in the
process, but when I went to the Outlook Today page, the calendar pane was
still blank...?

That means you did not include the space in front of the slash (/) when yuo
entered the command.

Hi, yes, I realized that was the problem and typed the command with the
space, and it word, the command itself, that is. However, my Outlook Today
still won't show me a calendar. Any ideas?

Sorry, I overlooked that you were talking about Outlook Today. The term
Calendar Pane was confusing ;-)

Close Outlook and verify the outlook.exe process has stopped.
Locate the following registry key;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Today

Export it (for restore purposes) and then delete it. Now when you restart
Outlook, Outlook Today should work again.

Well, I feel quite silly now--I did what you suggested with no problems,
exporting the registry key and then deleting it. When I saw the calendar
'pane' staring blank at me again, it made me wonder if it's because I had no
appointments down for today. Sure enough, that was it. I thought there was
supposed to be a picture of a calendar there; the thought of a list never
occurred to me.

Anyway, thanks to both responders for taking the time to help me with this
problem.

Cheers,

Grace

You're welcome! :-) Good to hear you've found it. At least some parts of
Outlook are now nicely reset again :-D
