Is it possible to change the size or hide the unamed section of the calendar
navigation pane that includes "How to Share Calendars" "Open a Shared
Calendar..." "Search Calendars Online" etc. It has all of the wasted space,
and I never use it.

Thanks

Unfortunately not.

No offense to Diane, but that's dumb. Do you know why not, and when that
will be added as a feature? A friend just started working in a role where
seeing many month's would be very helpful, and every wasted bit of space in
the navigation pane is space not available for more months.

I'm not the one who designed it and made the links unremovable and I don’t
work for them either.

Are you showing the Views in the navigation pane? Those can be removed
(Views menu.) Otherwise, to see more calendars you need a larger screen or
higher resolution. Push the folder module buttons down to one row.

Feel free to post it as a thing that needs fixed in outlook 2010 at
http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34.

Diane,

Thanks for the additional thoughts. No we're not showing the Views in the
navigation pane. Minimizing "My Calendars" and "People's Calendars" helps.
We'd just love to get rid of the Links area at the bottom (actually I'd like
to get rid of the links area from all the navigation panes not just the
Calendar one) since many of the links are redundant and MSFT didn't use the
space effeciently (lots of extra whitespace).

I'm going to create an account at that site now and submit the suggestion.
I've also signed up for the Office 2010 beta. Hopefully I get in and can
comment there too.

Thanks for the thoughts.
