I have tried both suggestions I saw for assigning different colors to two
different calendars. Neither version worked for me. Does anyone else out
there have a suggestions? It is my understanding that one is supposed to be
able to do this! Thank you.

Version of outlook? You can only assign the color to the default calendar in
Outlook 2007 and easier. Other calendars pick up colors in order, based on
the color assigned to the default one in tools, options, calendar. Outlook
2010 will allow you to set colors on each calendar.

There is a funky method of tricking outlook into using specific colors for
calendars but its not at all reliable or persistent.
