If you have a grouped field, you won't be able to add a calculated item
to the pivot table. In the source data, you could add a column to
calculate the month for each record.
Refresh the pivot table, and add the new field
Add another copy of the Data field to the data area
Right-click on one of its headings
Choose Field Settings
Click Option
Type a name for the field, e.g. %Diff
Choose to Show Data as % Difference From
As the Base Field, choose the new field
As the Base item, choose (previous)
Click OK
